Don't forget:Our March
Encounter is this Wednesday, kicking off at 7:30pm in the Youth/Young-Adults room.
This is the last encounter for our pastor
Clayton Coombs.

Come and hear what he has to say. For those who don't already know, Clayton will begin his theological course at the
Fuller Theological Seminary in the US. His course begins in 2007 for a minimum of (I think) 2 years. Be sure to wish him and his family well on Wednesday night.

There is 7 days till the Commonwealth Games. The harvest is ready... and the harvest is coming... to MELBOURNE- right to our doorstep. are we ready, or are we just gonna sit and watch? the workers are truly few.
Here are some prayer points, get your lifegroups to pray. seize the Call n own it:
- venue -
- invite the Holy Spirit to move and work in the venues.
- safety from terrorism.
- visitors n athletes -
- safety and health,
- that God will soften their hearts even now,
- that a lot of the athletes and visitors will encounter Jesus Christ (esp those that dont have - opportunity to hear in their own nation),
- pray for miracles,
- divine opportunities.
- the church -
- that the church will rise up and shine.
- pray against the spirit of Complacency within the church.
- that the church will reachout and stand in unity.
March prayer points (for each day)prayer resources from official site~ dont just stand back and watch... it is our responsibility..."After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb..." - Rev 7:9
So last night was our tribal prayer walk around the
Commonwealth Games site, in which we spiritually dug up the ground and made it soft and mooshy for God-seeds to be planted! It was good!
We prayed for everything Games-related and marched around them walls like them Jericho kids back in the day. =)
Now I don't consider myself a 'prayer warrior' and I'm not even volunteering for the different ministries happening over the next few weeks, but
doggone it, pray to our GOD I can and pray I will!
What an honour to be part of what God's gonna do through this opportunity, and how spoilt are we that God not only SENDS us to faraway places, but he also brings people right to our doorstep! Let's make it a point to grab opportunities- even one as big as this one. My prayer is to go after God's heart such that I have a
heart like His. What he desires, I want to desire, and if God sets his sight on the nations/peoples in Melbourne over the next couple of weeks, I want in.
Go the
Tribe. Let's take some serious holy ground!!
Kat =)
Hi Everyone,The Commonwealth Games is coming to Melbourne.
This is an opportunity the church cannot afford to miss because as the world focuses on Melbourne, God wants to move mightily.
The church of melbourne cannot let this opportunity pass by without outreaching and praying for divine opportunities for God to touch and impact people from around the world.
We do live in this great city, and we are called at times like this to "open the doors" for such a time as this!!
